If you are looking for finance for your business then you must ensure you plan carefully. Careful planning can make the difference between winning or loosing financial assistance. To assist you in your campaign have a look our tips:

  • Ensure you have a clear and comprehensive business plan. Impressions make a difference, so your business plan should be presented as neatly and professionally as you make it. Ensure it is typed throughout, and arrange it in a file or folder. Don’t make your business plan too complicated and minimise its content to between 15 to 20 pages.

  • Know your facts. If you are unsure of any detail or find yourself questioning your plan; then it’s time to re-think. Effective planning and business management is an important part of running a business, so any doubts can seen like bad management and planning to a prospective lender.
  • First impressions last, so ensure your appearance is impeccable.
  • Rehearse your approach with a business colleague or close associate. Role play can help you to deal with the actual situation and it might help you plan your answers more clearly.
  • Names, Job titles and dates are all important. Ensure you are clear as to who you will be speaking to and what their role is within the organisation.
